The Quick Guide to Unblock Freevee
- Create an Unlocator account
- Configure your device to use Unlocator Smart DNS or VPN
- Go to the website of Freevee or use their app if supported.
The Freevee video service is a free streaming platform from Amazon. The service carries popular shows like Bosch: Legacy, Almost Paradise, and Neighbours.
Freevee is only available in the US, UK, Germany and Austria. Outside these locations you will be unable to use Freevee – unless you use Unlocator.
Let’s look at the two options.
Unblock Freevee using Smart DNS
The first option we will look at is our Smart DNS. This option works on all devices as no software is needed to install. It’s simply a matter of changing the network settings in your device to use our DNS service instead of the default one from your Internet Service provider.
Unlocator Smart DNS will touch only the traffic used by Freevee to locate you and direct it to our US servers. As a result you can stream Freevee from anywhere in the world.
Sounds good? Here is how you do it:
- Create your Unlocator account. You can either get the VPN subscription with DNS included for free or just get the Smart DNS subscription.
- Configure your device to use our Smart DNS. It’s very simple and takes a minute or two. No tech knowledge needed.
Restart your device. - Visit the Unlocator account home and make sure that the IP has a green check mark in your account. You need to visit from a device that is connected to the same Internet connection as the device you want to unblock. So if you have configured your Smart TV to use Unlocator and use your phone to check your Unlocator account, you need to make sure that both are connected to the same WiFi. That way the IP that is added to your Unlocator account is the same public IP used by your TV. Fear not – in 99% of the cases that is already the case when you create your account.

Unblock and Watch Freevee With a VPN
The other option we provide to unblock Freevee is our VPN service. It differs a bit from Smart DNS as VPN adds an additional layer of protection by encrypting all your traffic. You will also get a new IP address when using our VPN service, which in turn will help to protect your privacy.
Unblock Freevee with Unlocator
There are different options when it comes to VPN. You can either install our VPN app for Android, iOS, Mac, Windows or Amazon Devices. Alternatively you can configure your router to use our VPN and route the whole household via our VPN network. The choice is yours.
Just as with the Smart DNS option you will first need to create an account. In order to get access to VPN you will need to choose the VPN package at checkout. You get Smart DNS added for free.
From there on install the VPN app on your device and connect to the closest VPN server from your current location. Wait what? I thought I was supposed to connect to a server in the US to unblock Freevee? With any other VPN provider you would have to do that but Unlocator works differently. We have what we call Hybrid Mode, which essentially means that our VPN servers can use our Smart DNS network. So all the major streaming services are unblocked from all our VPN servers. So you can watch Freevee by connecting to the VPN server closest to you, which in turn will give you the best performance.
Both Unlocator Smart DNS and VPN will unblock 250+ streaming services and counting. So this trick does not only apply to Freevee but any other streaming service on the market.
